Vietnam and Belarus promote exploitation of economic and trade cooperation potential

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always considers Belarus a friend and reliable partner and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Belarus, promote delegation exchanges at all levels and through channels to cooperate in all fields.

According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the afternoon of October 24 (local time), on the occasion of attending the expanded BRICS Leaders' Meeting in Kazan, the Russian Federation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksander Lukashenko. At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and cooperation with Belarus, which has been nurtured by the leaders and people of the two countries over the past 30 years. Vietnam always considers Belarus a friend and reliable partner and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Belarus, including promoting the exchange of delegations at all levels and through channels to create a basis for promoting cooperation in all fields. The Prime Minister emphasized that the two economies can complement each other, proposed to promote the exploitation of the potential for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries; agreed on the need to review and continue to strengthen the legal basis to meet current cooperation needs. The President of Belarus conveyed his congratulations to President Luong Cuong and wished to invite senior Vietnamese leaders to visit Belarus soon; expressed his impression of Vietnam's achievements in socio-economic development, ensuring people's lives, and strengthening Vietnam's prestige and position. President Aleksander Lukashenko agreed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's comments and affirmed that, based on the traditional trustful relationship, Belarus always attaches importance to and wishes to develop cooperation in all fields with Vietnam. The President of Belarus proposed promoting cooperation in automobile production for export; boosting investment, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange... The two leaders affirmed to continue close coordination at multilateral forums, especially within the framework of the United Nations and regional organizations in which both sides participate.
