For the first time participating in the biggest playground of women's football, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will face the defending champion USA, runner-up Netherlands and Portugal in group E.

For many months, FIFA has had a "headache" with bidding for the 2023 Women's World Cup copyright when European broadcasters forced down the price due to inappropriate matches (from night to morning in Europe).
However, the broadcasting rights for the 2023 Women's World Cup have been quickly acquired by a Vietnamese media unit. This unit will cooperate with a number of domestic television stations to broadcast live matches of the Vietnamese women's team and other groups to domestic fans when the tournament takes place from July 20 to August 20.
After winning the SEA Games 32 women's football gold medal, the Vietnamese women's team has returned to the group and had their first training session today, preparing for the historic goal at the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in July.
For the first time participating in the biggest playground of women's football, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will face the defending champion USA, runner-up Netherlands and Portugal in Group E. In Southeast Asia, in addition to Vietnam, the Philippines will also participate in the 2023 Women's World Cup when they are in Group A with New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland.
Of these two groups, Group E of the Vietnamese women's team is considered the most difficult. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team's only chance of scoring points lies in the match against Portugal, which is also their first time participating in the tournament.
Huynh Nhu and her teammates will face the US (8am, July 22), Portugal (2:30pm, July 27) and the Netherlands (2pm, August 1).
