>>> Thailand: Covid-19 re-emerges, 16 deaths

An epidemiologist said that the country is still maintaining a respiratory disease surveillance system to record and promptly issue recommendations when there are abnormalities. Leading research units in the country are still receiving information from WHO, in case there are warning developments about epidemics, including Covid-19, WHO will promptly inform.

According to this expert, the characteristic of Covid-19 is that it is contagious, and this is a disease that has almost become widespread, similar to some other respiratory diseases. The biggest concern now is the need for early information on the development of the epidemic, for example, the increasing trend of severe cases requiring hospitalization (if any).

According to information from the leading infectious disease hospital, this hospital has not recorded any severe Covid-19 cases requiring hospitalization. However, people with underlying diseases and high-risk people should not be subjective. When experiencing worsening respiratory symptoms, it is necessary to go to a medical facility or hospital early for examination and assessment of the severity for timely treatment.
