Vietnam among top destinations attracting Indian tourists to return

Agoda's survey shows that for Indian travelers, Thailand, Vietnam and Bali (Indonesia) are not just destinations but also experiences that travelers crave to repeat.

A survey by travel company Agoda found that Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia are the most popular destinations for Indian tourists who want to return.

Agoda’s “Return to Traveler Rankings” survey found that 67% of Indian travelers surveyed would like to return to their favorite destinations because of the food , accessibility, and affordability. As many as 58% of travelers have revisited their favorite destinations 1-3 times in the past decade. About 4% have done so 10 times.

According to Agoda's Director for South Asia and Maldives, Krisha Rathi, this ranking shows that for Indian travelers, Thailand, Vietnam and Bali (Indonesia) are not just destinations but also experiences that travelers crave to repeat.

The survey also highlighted the importance of hospitality, with three in 10 Indian tourists citing friendly locals as a key factor in their decision to return.

For Asian travelers, Japan, along with Thailand and Vietnam, is the top destination they want to return to. Convenient transportation is the main motivation for 44% of Asian travelers to return to their favorite destinations here.

The survey was conducted via the Agoda platform from August 1-19, with more than 4,000 participants from 10 markets, including Indonesia, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan (China), Thailand and Vietnam./.
