Vietnam to provide traffic security monitoring system to Dubai police

During his visit and work in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defense , met with Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi, Deputy Minister of Defense of the UAE.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien was pleased to note that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1993, the Vietnam-UAE relationship has continuously developed strongly; he affirmed that the Government, Ministry of National Defense, and Vietnam People's Army always attach importance to strengthening friendly relations and developing substantive cooperation with the Government, Ministry of National Defense, and UAE Armed Forces, in accordance with the legitimate interests of the people of the two countries, for peace , stability, cooperation, and development in each country, in the region and in the world.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the positive developments in defense cooperation between the two countries in recent times, especially in the field of exchanging delegations at all levels, actively supporting and sending delegations to attend international defense exhibitions, conferences and seminars organized by each side...

At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi highlighted the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the UAE, in which defense cooperation needs to be developed to strengthen trust and create momentum for cooperation in the fields of diplomacy, economy and culture. The two sides share many similarities in building a self-reliant and self-reliant military and defense industry. The two sides prioritize promoting defense cooperation in the coming time through signing and effectively implementing cooperation documents, focusing on the following areas: Exchange of high-level delegations, training, United Nations peacekeeping, defense industry, military trade, cyber security, maritime security, responding to non-traditional security challenges, logistics, military medicine, etc.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien respectfully invited the UAE Ministry of Defense to send a delegation to visit Vietnam. Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi said that he will send a delegation to visit Vietnam to promote and concretize the contents discussed by the leaders of the two sides and respectfully invited the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense to send a delegation to attend the Dubai Airshow 2025 and the International Air Chiefs Conference (DIACC 2025) taking place in November this year.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a Letter of Intent on defense cooperation, marking and guiding the more substantial development of defense cooperation between the two countries in the coming time, in accordance with the common perceptions reached between the two countries' senior leaders, commensurate with the Vietnam-UAE comprehensive partnership.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the cooperation results between the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and ABI Group in the past time. On this occasion, witnessed by Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Viettel Group and ABI Group signed the Minutes of the Meeting, clearly demonstrating the goodwill and desire to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

ABI Group committed to continue promoting and expanding cooperation with Viettel Group in the coming time, aiming to bring Viettel Group's high-tech products and services to a wider presence in the UAE market as well as the Middle East region.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the capacity and impressive development of technology and products of EDGE Group; suggested that EDGE Group and Vietnamese agencies and units actively cooperate and apply technology transfer; affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will create conditions for the two sides to exchange experiences.
