With the theme: “Transformational partners for sustainability. Action for life and green growth,” the conference focused on discussing three contents: Biodiversity, Energy Transition and Sustainable Cities.

The conference reaffirmed the role of green growth in economic recovery and implementation of the United Nations' sustainable goals.

The conference recognized the achievements of P4G, with 75 partnerships, creating a global public-private partnership platform, supporting countries to respond to climate change, promote green growth, sustainable development, and implement 5/17 SDGs (including goals 2- Zero Hunger, 6- Clean Water, 7- Clean Energy, 11- Sustainable Cities and Communities and 12- Responsible Consumption and Production).

The conference called on countries to create conditions for the private sector to further promote its role in promoting technological solutions, innovation and finance for the green transition, sustainable development, and creating new jobs from green industries.

At the conference, Denmark announced its commitment to contribute 30 million USD, the Netherlands contributed 10 million USD and South Korea contributed 1 million USD to P4G phase 2.

At the conference, Vietnam took over the right to host the 4th P4G Summit in 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh thanked P4G member countries for their trust and support in Vietnam hosting the P4G Summit in 2025.

The Minister affirmed that Vietnam will make the greatest efforts and hopes that Colombia and partner countries will share experiences and support Vietnam to successfully undertake this responsibility.

The Minister emphasized that Vietnam will promote the conference's agenda in line with the priorities of both P4G countries as well as global concerns, including: ensuring food security associated with hunger eradication and poverty reduction; managing, exploiting and sustainably using transboundary water resources; building and operating an early warning system to monitor the impacts of climate change; promoting finance to serve the goals of carbon neutrality (net zero) and equitable energy transition; developing low-carbon smart agriculture; and developing a plastic circular economy.

Within the framework of the conference, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh had bilateral meetings with the Danish Deputy Minister for Development Policy, the Korean Deputy Minister for Climate Change, the President and CEO of the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the CEO of P4G.

The partners highly appreciated Vietnam's initiative and responsibility in proposing to host the P4G Summit 2025, committed to accompanying Vietnam in successfully organizing the Summit, and at the same time coordinating to enhance operational efficiency, maximizing the role of P4G in supporting countries in implementing climate goals and actions.

The Vietnamese delegation also sent representatives to attend the conference's group discussions on energy transition and sustainable cities, working with the P4G Secretariat and P4G coordinators from Colombia and South Korea to exchange experiences in organizing the P4G Summit in 2025.

P4G was formed in 2017 on the basis of an initiative of the Danish Government, formerly known as the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF).

To date, the P4G forum has 12 member countries, including: Denmark, Chile, Mexico, Vietnam, Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Indonesia and South Africa, with the participation of more than 90 countries, international organizations and businesses.

P4G is considered the world's leading forum for promoting public-private partnerships, connecting governments, businesses and socio-political organizations to jointly develop breakthrough solutions for green growth, contributing to the implementation of the SDGs.

The P4G Summit is held every two years. Vietnam is one of the 7 founding members and an official partner of P4G./.
