(CPV)- Within the framework of the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Brazil, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc, on behalf of the Vietnamese Government, signed an Education Cooperation Agreement with the Brazilian Government.
According to the Agreement, the two Parties encourage cooperation ineducation and scientific development, with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding, in accordance with the laws of each country and with international treaties to which the two Parties are members.
The Parties designate the following agencies to represent the implementation of this Agreement: The Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is represented by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Government of the Federal Republic of Brazil is represented by the Ministry of Education.
The Agreement aims to: Strengthen educational cooperation and cooperation between higher education institutions of the two Parties; train and improve the qualifications of students, teachers and researchers of Vietnam and Brazil; exchange information and educational experience between the two Parties in accordance with the legal regulations of each country and strengthen cooperation between research groups of Vietnam and Brazil.
The two Parties will implement the above objectives by encouraging cooperation activities at different training levels and on teaching methods in the two countries through the following forms: Exchange of students, lecturers, researchers and experts to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate training courses at higher education and research institutions;
Exchange of educational and research delegations; exchange of lecturers and researchers for short or long term periods to carry out activities previously agreed between higher education institutions and jointly develop and implement joint research projects and cooperation in areas identified by the two Parties.
Each Party also encourages the teaching and promotion of the culture and language of the other Party in its territory./.
