The flight marks the journey of expanding the airline's flight network and connecting
tourist cities in 2024. Ho Chi Minh City - Takamatsu is the first route and an important premise for Vietravel Airlines to deploy regular flights connecting Vietnam - Japan. At 0:45 on March 17, flight number VU3002 of Vietravel Airlines took off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and landed at 6:00 (Vietnam time) at Takamatsu Airport. The flight had nearly 200 passengers who were group guests of Vietravel Tourism Company (Vietravel). This is a charter series jointly implemented by Vietravel Airlines and Vietravel, aiming to combine the existing ecosystem of Vietravel Corporation to promote air transport and tourism activities this year.

In March and April, Vietravel Airlines will operate 10 charter flights from Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang to Takamatsu/Fukushima provinces, including 6 flights to Takamatsu province. On the outbound leg, Vietravel Airlines served nearly 1,862 passengers and the return leg from Japan was more than 1,780 passengers, showing that the demand for travel for tourism purposes of people between the two countries tends to increase in 2024. “For Vietravel Airlines, implementing a series of charter flights to Japan is not only meaningful in terms of commercial activities, but also an opportunity for the airline to assess the actual market, seek partners/agents, coordinate with aviation authorities of the host country, creating an important premise to deploy regular flights connecting Vietnam-Japan, in order to meet the increasing travel and trade needs of people of the two countries, contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship and sustainable development in many fields”, General Director of Vietravel Airlines Nguyen Minh Hai emphasized. Japan is a tourism market chosen by many Vietnamese tourists to visit in 2023, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization in Vietnam (JNTO), there were 573,900 Vietnamese visitors to Japan, an increase of 15.9% compared to 2019 and setting a record high. Of which, Vietravel Tourism Company (Vietravel) successfully served 13,053 visitors to Japan, in March and April alone, Vietravel organized 295 groups of visitors to Japan. Continuing the success and correctly recognizing the potential of Japanese tourism in early 2024, Vietravel and Vietravel Airlines coordinated to carry out a series of charter flights to Takamatsu and Fukushima provinces, the perfect combination of 2 brands within the same Vietravel Group, taking advantage of the existing ecosystem. Coming to Takamatsu this March, visitors will feel a new beginning in spring here, experiencing many interesting activities besides watching the cherry blossoms in full bloom, such as skiing, bathing in hot springs in the countryside on days when the temperature drops, enjoying tea ceremony, unique
