The agreement is expected to promote and deploy 5G networks across Vietnam, aiming for the two businesses to jointly create great values and improve service quality for customers.
Specifically, in the 5G research and development sector, the two sides will cooperate to develop 5G solutions including software and hardware. In the field of cloud computing, Supermicro will provide hardware and Viettel will provide software to develop Private Cloud solutions for customers. The two sides will jointly develop high-performance, energy-saving server solutions, "tailored" to customer groups; apply AI to improve the quality of telecommunications, data centers and business processes.

Viettel has experience in the field of telecommunications exploitation and has completely mastered the equipment in the 5G ecosystem including radio access equipment, transmission equipment, and core network systems, making Vietnam the fifth country in the world to master 5G technology.
While Supermicro is known for its strength in developing servers, providing server management software, high-performance and high-performance storage systems to many partners, plus advanced computing solutions to meet the increasing needs of businesses and organizations.
Previously, at the Mobile World Congress MWC 2024 (in Barcelona, Spain), the two sides had the opportunity to exchange, share, and seek potential areas of cooperation.
