According to a survey by Tuoi Tre Online , island destinations are popular with tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays (the first holiday of summer 2025).
In the North, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) is one of the destinations that attracts domestic and foreign tourists. Many exciting activities are launched by travel companies and cruise ships to serve tourists.
Owning 5 overnight cruises and day boats in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, Paradise Vietnam has recorded a sharp increase in the number of customers booking services since the second week of April.
A representative of Paradise Vietnam said that on the occasion of the April 30 holiday this year, domestic tourists seeking cruise services increased by 15% compared to the same period last year and accounted for about 60% of the total number of customers booking tours.
"Paradise Suites hotel alone has 100% room occupancy during the 5-day holiday. Domestic guests always prioritize staying at this Tuan Chau hotel because it is not as crowded and noisy as the central area, Tuan Chau beach is cleaner and quieter than Bai Chay and Hon Gai, Van Don.
Along with that, hotels with private beaches and outdoor swimming pools for children are also chosen a lot because they are suitable for family guests," said a representative of Paradise Vietnam.

The reason Ha Long becomes a hot spot in the North during this holiday is because of the many exciting activities held both on shore and in the bay.
If on land there is Ha Long Carnival, then on the bay, music and light parties are also invested by cruise ships to bring many experiences to tourists.
On Grand Pioneers, Ambassador cruise ships..., in addition to experiencing the space on the bay, visitors can enjoy music parties, admire fireworks on the sundeck, and light shows.
According to Mr. Luong The Tuyen - representative of the Grand Pioneers Cruise Owner, in addition to Vietnamese guests, on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, Grand Pioneers Cruise also recorded a large number of international guests booking the "Heritage Journey" tour. This is a cruise connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Doan Ngoc Bao - Deputy General Director of APC Corporation - shared that the booking rate for cruises on Ha Long Bay, including day and overnight cruises on the Ambassador cruise ship, is at 100% capacity.
"Since April 20, we have not been able to receive any more guests. During this year's holiday, Vietnamese guests account for 68%, the rest are international guests. Guests traveling in family groups dominate, the largest group is up to 40 people for a day cruise.
We also recorded many visitors from Ho Chi Minh City coming to visit Ha Long Bay during this holiday," said Mr. Bao.
