Taking place from June 15-24, the 26th National Traditional Martial Arts Youth Championship in 2025 brings together nearly 1,000 athletes from 35 provinces, cities and sectors, organized by the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa.

Not only is this tournament a top sports playground, it is also a place where the passion, desire to contribute and love for traditional martial arts of young people across the country converge.

The two main competitions: boxing and sparring, both bear the mark of technique, will and national identity.

If boxing is the place to honor physical beauty, flexibility and sophistication in each punch, then combat is the place to most clearly reveal fighting spirit, abundant physical strength and courage.

Results: Boxing: 43 gold, 43 silver, 74 bronze. Combat: 42 gold, 42 silver, 84 bronze. A total of 328 medals were awarded, marking a colorful and high-quality tournament.

The eye-catching performances, each decisive blow, the fair-play matches mixed with the emotions after each win or loss... all turned the tournament into a fiery symphony of youth and Vietnamese martial spirit.

As the host, Thanh Hoa team competed explosively, excellently winning 13 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, rising to the top of the team in the combat event. This is the third time Thanh Hoa has won the top position in this event, affirming its position as a "martial arts land" not only in tradition but also in the development of youth movements.

In the martial arts category, Ho Chi Minh City rose to the top position, followed by Binh Dinh and Hanoi , localities with strong and systematic martial arts.

The biggest highlight of this tournament is the smooth combination of sports expertise and national cultural elements. From the way the stadium is set up, the sound, the costumes, to the cheering style, the award ceremony… all show respect for the traditional martial arts spirit, while aiming for a youthful, modern image that is more accessible to the Gen Z generation.

The competition atmosphere at Lam Son Square has gone beyond the framework of a youth tournament, it has become a true "martial arts festival", where each martial art carries the national soul, where each confrontation is the intersection between the desire to win and martial arts ethics.

The 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Youth Championship has ended, but its echoes still linger. This is strong evidence that Vietnamese martial arts can fully integrate without losing its identity, modernize but still retain the national soul.

From the fighting mats under the blue sky of Thanh Hoa, the young martial artists carry with them medals and titles, but above all, martial arts spirit, faith and pride in Vietnamese martial arts, a precious cultural asset that today's generations are striving to preserve and promote.
