Quang Trach has quite favorable natural conditions for socio-economic development. However, at present, the district still has no town, the socio-economic infrastructure is underdeveloped, the economic structure is slow to shift, commodity production is still fragmented and small-scale, the rate of rural agricultural workers without stable jobs is still high. The local people's economy mainly depends on agriculture.
In order to reduce the poverty rate, improve socio-economic life and contribute to promoting the development of the new rural areas, in recent times, the Transaction Office of the Bank for Social Policies (PGD NHCSXH) in Quang Trach district has implemented many programs and activities of preferential loans to poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Thanks to that, people's lives have gradually improved; the appearance of the new rural areas has many changes.

The results of policy credit activities of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies have actively contributed to the implementation of the goal of poverty reduction, job creation and ensuring social security in the locality. The appearance of new-style rural agriculture is increasingly prosperous, economic growth is even between regions, and political and social stability. The number of communes meeting new-style rural standards has reached 13/16 communes so far. |
In particular, savings and loan groups have been established in all villages with 292 groups, over 12 thousand households borrowing, creating a widespread policy credit network. Preferential credit capital has reached beneficiaries in all villages, contributing to helping nearly 5.7 thousand households escape poverty, reducing the poverty rate from 4.21% (in 2020) to 3.34% by the end of 2024.
As one of the poor households in Quang Chau commune, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa was fortunate to access the loan package of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to invest in economic development. After a short time, his family's economy has had many positive changes. Mr. Khoa shared: His family used to be very difficult. Life was hard, having to earn a living from meal to meal. In 2020, the district branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies created conditions for him to borrow 90 million VND. With a large amount of capital, he started investing in cattle farming. Thanks to learning from the experience of the commune's training sessions and the internet, from the initial 4 breeding cows, his family has taken care of and multiplied the herd to 15. The policy credit capital has helped change his family's life. From a poor household in the commune, up to now, his family has risen out of poverty and gradually has a stable income.
“Improving credit quality and the effectiveness of policy credit capital implementation is a long-term task, with continuous determination and determination.
