Loving arms, supporting the disadvantaged

I have been a collaborator for the Green Journey Charity Fund since May 2023, working with enthusiastic people with kind hearts has made me feel like this place is my second family. Participating in volunteer projects, trips to remote areas of the country (from remote villages to sunny and windy islands), dedicating youth to help people with difficult lives are memorable and valuable experiences for me, helping me live a better and more meaningful life.

What is more fortunate is that there are many occasions when I get to collaborate with Ms. Bui Thanh Huong, currently the Executive Director of the Green Journey Charity Fund - a sister and teacher of mine - because she brings lessons about human love, honesty and compassion that help me grow up and live a good life. There are times when we go on business trips until 1-2 am before returning to the headquarters at 28 Hang Bai Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi (old Hoan Kiem District). Even though both sisters are very tired, they always have a smile on their lips. Just a little rest and then in the morning we can continue our charity work, relief work and share love with many more miserable and unfortunate lives out there...

There were times when I wondered what source of energy gave her and the whole group the strength to climb mountains, cross forests and seas to reach the poor and homeless people. There was only love, a good heart and a burning passion to give, to contribute, to help all those who were in trouble and hardship.

During the time I worked as a volunteer for the Green Journey Charity Fund, there were many memorable memories, projects and trips for me. All of them were for the hope that people around me would have a better life.

Since its establishment in 2012 under the name of Humanity Fund until its renaming to Green Journey Charity Social Fund in 2018, countless projects have been implemented. Recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs , the fund has had the opportunity to implement many meaningful activities from humanitarian, medical relief to environmental. Wherever it goes, it is "loved and respected by the people".

During the process of formation and development, the fund has implemented community and charity programs and projects across the country, helping many individuals, organizations, villages and hamlets as well as inspiring the less fortunate, millions of students have the opportunity to go to school and spread the values that the journey of love is continuing to carry out.

On the journey of sharing love, the Green Journey Charity Fund continues to send to poor patients and their caregivers who are being treated at Ha Dong General Hospital meaningful, nutritious meals, and sincere words of encouragement to patients and their families who are fighting day and night against the disease.

The project has been implemented by the fund since 2021, delivering thousands of meals to patients across the country. It can be said that this is a connection and sharing of goodwill from small but meaningful actions. The 5-year operation period and continued maintenance shows the value that the project brings, recognized by society.

"One tree cannot make a forest", therefore the fund always proactively contacts, coordinates and joins hands with companies, businesses as well as philanthropists through many good deeds with a noble spirit of living beautifully.

Recently, the fund has cooperated with Vinh Plaza Trading Company to carry out a program of giving gifts and supporting orphans and disabled children at 2 child protection facilities in Nghe An province. At the 19/3 Orphanage for Disabled Children (Hamlet 7, Nghi Dien Commune, Nghe An), the delegation presented many gifts including necessities such as milk, instant porridge, cooking oil, blankets, diapers, shampoo, shower gel, etc. The center is currently taking care of children with severe disabilities, many of whom cannot walk and must stay in one place. After that, the delegation moved to the Mother Teresa Caltutta Orphanage (Hamlet 6, Nghi Van Commune, Nghe An) to visit and give gifts to 60 orphans and disabled children being cared for there.

Previously, the Green Journey Charity Fund and An Hoa Phat Car Rental Company started construction of a charity house for Ha Van Du's family in Dam Muoi area, Tan Minh commune, Phu Tho province. Du's family is a poor household in the commune. In 2023, his wife, Ca Thi Hiep, unfortunately passed away 3 days after giving birth due to hemorrhage, leaving behind a 3-day-old baby and a 4-year-old child. Du did not have a stable job and was often sick, so the family faced countless difficulties. Accompanying the group were Ms. Thanh Thuy - General Director of An Hoa Phat Company and the company's staff, and the Red Cross Society of Phu Tho province who accompanied him in this meaningful program with the hope of sharing the difficulties with Du's family, hoping that he would overcome adversity and rise up to live a good life.

Not stopping there, implementing the plan to deploy charity programs on the occasion of Community Day 2025, the fund and Vietnam Intellectual Fund Management Joint Stock Company organized a program to give gifts and visit and encourage the visually impaired in Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. During the program, members of the volunteer group interacted, visited and presented 70 gifts to the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who are members of the association. Each gift given is also a wish for a prosperous and peaceful new year, a heart reaching out to those who have unfortunately lost their sight, but they are not alone but always have the light of conscience, affection, and the spirit of a beautiful life to guide them to move forward.

I myself always appreciate the sharing of Ms. Huong, Director of the Green Journey Charity Fund: "Give away the things you want to receive and life will give you back what you want. It may not come from the person you need, but surely in the future there will be someone who will give you such things. Don't ask for anything when you haven't done anything yourself. The disappointment when what you want is not reciprocated can easily push you into the abyss of disappointment. Therefore, learn to give a lot, this life will not let you suffer!".

That is the teaching and guidance of a sister with a kind heart, full of love. It is also a beautiful example of a sister, of a charity organization with a boundless heart of compassion sent across this S-shaped strip of land. I always remember and engrave it deeply to live rightly, live well and live beautifully!
