This result helped Le Thi Hien successfully defend the gold medal she won at the 31st SEA Games, and at the same time brought the first gold medal to Vovinam Vietnam at the 32nd SEA Games.

After the final, Le Thi Hien revealed that she suffered a knee injury in the semi-final against Pech Chomno of the host country Cambodia and had to use a different strategy in the final. “I had difficulty moving in the final. But thanks to following the tactics of the coaching staff, I achieved the expected results. I am very happy to bring glory to my country," Le Thi Hien shared.

In the final of the men's Sun Moon Great Saber, athlete Huynh Hac Nguyen lost to Cambodian athlete Ly Boramy by a close score of 268 to 270, receiving a silver medal. In the sabre team final, the Vietnamese team with 4 athletes Huynh Hac Nguyen, Nguyen Hoang Tan, Le Duc Anh and Nguyen Manh Phi scored 267 points, winning a silver medal. After losing to the host Cambodia, the team won the gold medal with 272 points.

As of 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation has 3 gold medals, temporarily ranked fourth.
