This morning, despite high expectations, Vietnamese martial artists only won 2 silver medals. In the final round of the five-door boxing event, martial artist Nguyen Tu Cuong scored 267 points after his performance, receiving a silver medal. Then in the men's kick attack event, the quartet of Vu Duy Bao, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Mai Dinh Chien, and Le Phi Bao scored 267 points, behind the Myanmar team who scored 272 points, thereby receiving a silver medal.

Le Thi Hien (blue armor) won overwhelmingly in the final match.

After passing the first round, Le Thi Hien had no difficulty reaching the final after defeating her opponent Pech Chomno from the host country Cambodia with an overwhelming score of 8-1 in the semi-finals. This Thanh Hoa native entered the final of the women's 54 kg weight class to meet her Lao opponent - Alisa Panyasyli. According to experts, this is not a very strong opponent and Le Thi Hien's chance of winning is very high. Not disappointing expectations, Le Thi Hien played overwhelmingly to win 7-0 against Alisa Panyasyli. This result helped Le Thi Hien successfully defend the gold medal she won at the 31st SEA Games, and at the same time brought the first gold medal to Vovinam Vietnam at the 32nd SEA Games.

After the final, Le Thi Hien revealed that she suffered a knee injury in the semi-final against Pech Chomno of the host country Cambodia and had to use a different strategy in the final. “I had difficulty moving in the final. But thanks to following the tactics of the coaching staff, I achieved the expected results. I am very happy to bring glory to my country," Le Thi Hien shared.

In the sabre team final, the Vietnamese team with 4 athletes Huynh Hac Nguyen, Nguyen Hoang Tan, Le Duc Anh and Nguyen Manh Phi scored 267 points, winning a silver medal. After losing to the host Cambodia, the team won the gold medal with 272 points.

As of 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation has 3 gold medals, temporarily ranked fourth.
