Information from the victims admitted to the emergency room showed that these cases bought and used bread at Co Bich bread shop at both locations: location 1 is located at 112A Nguyen Thai Son Street, Hanh Thong Ward; location 2 is located at 363 Le Quang Dinh Street, Binh Loi Trung Ward.

After the incident, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety inspected two Co Bich Toad Bread establishments. The owner of the establishment is Ms. Ly Nguyen Ngoc Bich Van. At the time of inspection, the business was temporarily suspended and had 2 regular employees. The food products including ham, cold cuts, pate, eggs, vegetables, chili, cucumbers, etc. all had invoices and documents proving their clear origin.

The facility is equipped with a refrigerator to preserve food and has a record book for importing and exporting goods. Processing and preservation tools ensure hygiene; the processing area has a roof and measures to protect against insects and harmful animals. The inspection team has sealed the food cabinets to serve the verification and investigation of the cause of the incident.

The second location of Co Bich Toad Bread at 363 Le Quang Dinh has been closed since the morning of November 7. According to the investigation, this location is just a cart selling on the sidewalk and has been in operation for over a year.

Authorities continue to investigate to determine the cause of the incident.
