Hue city leaders receive 20 billion VND from Ho Chi Minh City leaders

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai respectfully thanked the Party Committee, the government and the people of Ho Chi Minh City for their precious sentiments. The timely arrangement of a delegation to visit and encourage by Ho Chi Minh City once again affirmed the traditional close relationship of "one tree, one family", which is a great encouragement for Hue to continue to overcome difficulties, recover and develop sustainably.

Providing more information about the damage caused by floods in late October and early November 2025, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Hue City are making efforts to overcome and clean up the environment, join hands to overcome the consequences, and focus on many solutions to soon bring people's lives back to normal. Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee pledged to allocate support resources to the right subjects, transparently and effectively, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front channel.

After handing over 20 billion VND to Hue to overcome the consequences of floods, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed: “This is the initial source of funding to help localities rebuild technical infrastructure, including medical stations and schools, and support people in flood-affected areas to quickly overcome difficulties after natural disasters. Recently, Ho Chi Minh City has continuously implemented many activities to support people affected by storms and floods in a timely, focused, and key manner, in accordance with the needs and actual conditions of each locality and with the motto of being the fastest, most effective, and highest in the city's conditions. I hope Hue will make efforts to soon overcome difficulties, ensure socio- economic development, and ensure security and national defense.”

On this occasion, from the above-mentioned 20 billion VND support source, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation came to present 300 million VND to repair Tay Loc Kindergarten; support 200 million VND to two households whose houses collapsed in Loc An commune; at the same time, present support gifts to 78 poor households in Phu Xuan ward, each household including a gift worth 500,000 VND and 1.5 million VND in cash; present support to 20 preschool children, each child including a gift worth 500,000 VND and 1.5 million VND in cash.

On the same day, Vietinbank Insurance Corporation, led by Ms. Le Thi Quynh Hoa, Deputy General Director and Chairwoman of the Corporation's Trade Union, went to the Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city to present a support board of 500 million VND to the people of Hue City to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Ms. Le Thi Quynh Hoa deeply sympathized with the enormous losses that the people of Hue City had to endure in the recent floods, hoping that people would quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon return to normal life. Over the past years, VietinBank has spent thousands of billions of VND to take care of social security for disadvantaged people across the country. Allocating funds to support the people of Hue City to overcome the consequences of floods is also part of VietinBank's social security plan.
