Coast Guard Region 1 propagates against IUU fishing to hundreds of fishing vessels
In recent times, Coast Guard Region 1 (Vietnam Coast Guard Command) has made efforts to deploy many solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Since the beginning of the year, Coast Guard Region 1 has disseminated information about IUU to more than 250 fishing vessels with more than 1,650 fishermen, distributed nearly 1,700 leaflets, presented more than 1,200 national flags and handed over nearly 100 legal handbooks to fishermen. Thereby, helping fishermen better understand the law on seafood exploitation, aiming to remove the IUU "yellow card" for Vietnam.
