From modern metropolises to ancient capitals, Travel + Leisure readers embrace Asia's diversity when choosing their favorite cities in the region. But they all seem to share many aspects — notably history, culture and cuisine — that captivate travelers and keep them coming back for more.
Specifically, Hoi An ancient town ranked 3rd with 90.67 points, just behind Udaipur of India and Kyoto, Japan; above Chiang Mai and Bangkok (Thailand). The remaining list includes Tokyo (Japan), Ubud (Bali, Indonesia), Kolkata and Jaipur (India), Seoul (South Korea), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Shanghai (China), Singapore, Mumbai (India) and Taipei.
