Climbing up the high hill in the middle of Xa Ry valley (Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district), here Mr. Hoang Luan (45 years old) is the owner of an Ara coffee garden of more than 2 hectares. Besides producing and processing coffee, he is also willing to share his experience and knowledge about how to grow and enjoy each type of coffee grown in the garden.

Mr. Luan has 12 years of experience growing coffee, and many times with his colleagues he brought his hometown's products to participate in the Vietnam Specialty Coffee competition.

"Recently, many tourists coming to Huong Hoa for tourism have chosen my coffee garden with the desire to experience it. To promote the brand of my hometown coffee, I am willing to share my knowledge and experience to grow a good coffee tree and produce a delicious cup of coffee," Mr. Luan shared.

Traveling more than 70 km from Dong Ha City to Huong Phung Commune, a group of students from Dong Ha High School had an interesting experience during the field trip. During the trip, 25 students were introduced by Mr. Luan about the achievements that Quang Tri coffee has achieved as well as the types of coffee grown in this locality.
Many tourists do not mind the long distance to have memorable moments with farmers.

Next, the students had the opportunity to experience how to plant a coffee tree, and were shown how to identify each type of tree such as Arabica coffee, jackfruit coffee, etc., as well as how to care for and the characteristics of each type. On the top of the hill, Ara Farm also has a house for drying and roasting coffee beans after harvest.
At Ara Farm, visitors will grow coffee themselves and choose quality coffee beans.

"After experiencing the growing method, we were led into the house by Mr. Luan to enjoy and prepare each type of coffee. Enjoying the flavor of the coffee beans right in the garden, I found the flavor very delicious, each type has its own flavor and uniqueness," shared Le Ngoc Thao Ly (student of Dong Ha High School).

Last April, in Buon Ma Thuot City ( Dak Lak Province), Arabica coffee beans grown in Huong Phung Commune won first prize at the 2024 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Competition. This is the second consecutive year that Quang Tri's Arabica coffee beans have won first place in this competition, marking its name on the "coffee map" of Vietnam.
