An Thanh Thuy Commune hands over solidarity houses to poor households

(DTO) On July 27, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Thanh Thuy commune, Dong Thap province held a ceremony to hand over solidarity houses to households with housing difficulties.

The house was handed over to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, born in 1969, residing in Binh Ninh hamlet, a near-poor household. The house has an area of 80 ^m2 , with a total construction cost of 110 million VND. Of which, the "For the Poor" Fund of Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province (old) supported 60 million VND; the rest was contributed by family and relatives.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc's family has no land for production, and their main income comes from the couple's hired work. Recently, Mr. Phuc has been sick frequently, so his income is only enough to cover living expenses, and he cannot afford to rebuild the house.

At the house handover ceremony, local authorities and benefactors presented many gifts to congratulate the family on receiving the new house, as well as providing more motivation for the family to overcome difficulties, focus on economic development, and stabilize their lives.
