According to the announcement, to ensure the operation of the reservoir and the safety of the project, Nam Mo Hydropower Plant will discharge water through the spillway from 4:30 p.m. on the same day (June 29, 2025). The total discharge flow is expected to range from 140 to 250 cubic meters per second. The discharge level includes water through the spillway gates, generators, sand discharge sluices and may change depending on the flow of water into the reservoir.

Flood discharge will be carried out continuously until the water flow into the lake drops below 140 cubic meters per second.

The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has requested the People's Committee of Ky Son district and provincial departments, branches and sectors, and Road Management Area II to promptly notify local authorities, organizations, units and individuals working along rivers and on rivers, inland waterway vehicles and people in downstream areas to promptly deploy safety measures.

In addition, local authorities are also required to strengthen monitoring of weather conditions and flood developments, closely coordinate with hydropower operators to promptly update information and have plans to evacuate people if necessary.

Nam Mo Hydropower Plant is a small and medium-sized hydropower project located in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district - one of the localities frequently affected by natural disasters, especially flash floods and landslides.

People need to strictly follow the instructions of the authorities and not be subjective about the flow and weather. In particular, they need to be highly vigilant in the coming days, when the weather in the North Central region continues to have widespread heavy rain./.
