Van Ninh Commune implements statistics on fishing vessels under 6m in length

On the morning of November 13, the People's Committee of Van Ninh commune held a meeting to review and count the number of fishing boats under 6m in length and boats serving aquaculture activities in the commune.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Van Ninh commune requested the competent authorities and villages to guide ship owners to register for registration numbers; organize inspections and implement the issuance of registration certificates, organize management according to regulations; compile statistics, send lists to the Department of Fisheries and Islands and establish management data according to regulations; ensure that 100% of fishing vessels under 6m in length and vessels serving aquaculture activities in the commune are compiled, listed and have license plates drawn/drawn according to regulations. Thereby, in order to strictly manage fishing vessels under 6m in length and vessels serving aquaculture activities in the commune according to the Law on Fisheries and implement regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
