Receiving us at the commune headquarters, Mr. Vi Viet Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, informed: Nam Ty commune was established on the basis of merging two communes: Nam Ty and Chieng Phung with 29 villages, nearly 16,700 people of 4 ethnic groups: Thai, Mong, Kho Mu, Kinh living together. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" attracted a large number of people to participate, effectively implementing the 5 key contents of the movement, which are: Unite to help each other develop the economy , eliminate hunger, reduce poverty; practice a cultural lifestyle, comply with the law; build cultural institutions; build a green - clean - beautiful - safe cultural environment.

Nam Ty has promoted propaganda work in many forms, especially promoting the pioneering role of cadres, party members, party cell secretaries, village chiefs and the Front Working Committee in implementing the contents of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life. Mobilizing people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and village conventions and regulations. At the same time, promoting cultural - artistic, physical training and sports activities, attracting a large number of people to participate. Up to now, each village has at least 2 art and sports teams that practice regularly, actively perform and exchange to serve the people during holidays and Tet.
Mr. Quang Van Minh, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Nam Ty commune, shared: The system of cultural and sports institutions of the commune has been gradually invested synchronously. From 2021 to now, the commune has invested over 4 billion VND, repaired 1 commune cultural house, 16 village cultural houses; installed 546 solar energy bulbs for lighting, 12 loudspeaker clusters. Up to now, 100% of villages have cultural houses, promoting their functions well, effectively serving the cultural, artistic and sports activities of the people. By the end of 2024, the whole commune will have over 2,000 cultural households, accounting for over 62% of the total households in the commune.

The movement to build a cultural life has been implemented in conjunction with the New Rural Development Program. The commune government has mobilized people to contribute to building rural infrastructure, renovating houses and gates; collecting and treating waste according to regulations, building clean and safe landscapes. Up to now, the commune has completed 11/19 criteria and 43/57 new rural targets. Organizations and unions in the commune have been entrusted with the Social Policy Bank to help people access preferential loans to invest in production development. Up to now, the total outstanding debt of the commune has reached 92 billion VND with over 1,300 households borrowing capital. Thanks to that, the local economy has improved a lot, the whole commune maintains over 1,060 hectares of fruit trees; over 26,000 livestock; the poverty rate of the commune has decreased to 26%.
Along with economic development, Nam Ty people also actively participate in activities to preserve and promote national cultural identity. In Pin village, these days, women in the art troupe are enthusiastically practicing their performances to prepare for the cultural exchange program to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20. The radiant faces and graceful traditional dances not only demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, but also demonstrate the rich and fresh cultural life that is spreading day by day in Nam Ty land.

Mr. Luong Van Dinh, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Chieng Vang Village, shared: The village currently has 108 households, 95% of whom are Thai ethnic people. The Party Cell and the Village Management Board have established conventions and regularly mobilized people to practice a civilized lifestyle and maintain security and order. At the same time, they actively promote traditional cultural beauty, such as dancing, singing, brocade embroidery, and weaving. On holidays and New Year's, people actively participate in cultural and sports activities, contributing to strengthening solidarity. Every month, inter-family groups and organizations organize environmental sanitation, creating a clean and beautiful landscape. In 2024, the village will maintain the title of "Cultural Village"; more than 80% of households will achieve "Cultural Family".
The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” in Nam Ty commune not only contributes to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, but also arouses the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and self-improvement of the ethnic communities. From practical actions, the movement has become an important driving force, promoting socio-economic development, building Nam Ty homeland to become increasingly rich, civilized and sustainable.
