In session 2 of the International Conference, delegates presented papers on the topic "Building Ho Chi Minh cultural space: International experience and practices at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad".

At the meeting, Mr. Doan Van Bau, Head of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, said that building President Ho Chi Minh's cultural space is a practical task.

Honoring President Ho Chi Minh's culture abroad is a consistent viewpoint of the Party and State to continue to spread and honor the life, career, ideology and morality of Ho Chi Minh to international friends.

According to Mr. Doan Van Bau, the process of building the Ho Chi Minh cultural space needs to ensure a design suitable to the geographical area and population so that people can have a deeper understanding of President Ho Chi Minh; contributing to the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, associated with the life, career and ideology of President Ho Chi Minh...

Mr. Ngo Tuan Phong - Deputy Director, Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions affirmed that building President Ho Chi Minh space abroad is extremely necessary, bringing effectiveness not only to diplomatic work but also to cultural work abroad.

Mr. Ngo Tuan Phong believes that we should not only pay attention to interior space, but also promote exterior space in the process of building President Ho Chi Minh's cultural space abroad.

For example, building squares and parks, placing statues of President Ho Chi Minh in outdoor spaces. This is a way to promote the culture of Uncle Ho much more widely abroad.

Experience from international

At the meeting, representatives of the Thai Embassy shared experiences in promoting the image of the Kings, affirming the national cultural identity, in which the overseas Vietnamese community plays a key role, as a bridge to spread and connect Thai culture with international friends.

Representatives of the Angolan Embassy shared their experiences in spreading the legacy of the first President, national hero António Agostinho Neto through memorial spaces and international networking activities.

Sharing China's experience in building cultural spaces at representative offices abroad, as well as meaningful stories connecting President Ho Chi Minh and China, Mr. Canh Hieu Ham, Third Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi, said that President Ho Chi Minh was an outstanding proletarian revolutionary, a world cultural celebrity, who creatively applied Marxism-Leninism to the Vietnamese revolutionary practice, emphasizing that the Vietnamese revolution is a part of the world revolution, persistently upholding the noble spirit of internationalism, opposing the invasion and expansion of imperialism.

The historical revolutionary relics of President Ho Chi Minh in China have been carefully cared for, preserved and restored by the Chinese people, becoming living proof of the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam passed down from generation to generation.

“The revolutionary footprints of President Ho Chi Minh in China and the red heritage resources in the exchanges between the two Parties are important spiritual threads connecting the traditional friendship of “both comrades and brothers” with the current work of building a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future,” Mr. Canh Hieu Ham emphasized.

In his closing speech at the workshop, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized: The values ​​that President Ho Chi Minh left behind – about peace, compassion, aspiration for independence, respect for people… are universal, representing humanity, continuing to illuminate the journey of building a fair, humane and sustainably developed world.

Spreading these values ​​is not only a tribute to the past, but also a mission for the present and future, so that the world can better understand a Vietnam that is innovative, integrated, preserving its identity and aspiring to rise up.

To realize that mission, the Deputy Minister also proposed 5 orientations: Standardizing content, innovating forms, applying digital technology to increase interaction for Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces, especially for the young generation;

Promote the role of the arts – such as literature, music, cinema – in inspiring and connecting communities; Promote document collection, witness connection and interdisciplinary research to enrich humanistic depth;

Enhance the proactive role of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad in preserving and promoting the image of Uncle Ho; Strengthen socialization, mobilize the participation of localities, businesses and overseas Vietnamese to build a rich, widespread and sustainable cultural space.
