Building a digital bank to serve customers

Accordingly, Agribank Thanh Hoa has just installed and put into operation the Autobank CDM automatic deposit and withdrawal machine system in Tho Xuan and Cam Thuy districts with functions such as withdrawing money, transferring money, and depositing money directly into accounts via ATM cards. In particular, customers can proactively choose to deposit savings online right at the CDM machine with diverse terms and higher interest rates than depositing money directly at the transaction counter. The machine's transaction time is flexible 24/7, including holidays, helping customers to transact at any time without having to wait, queue, present documents, write or sign any transaction documents.

Mr. Hoang Tung Duong in Tho Xuan town (Tho Xuan) just deposited cash into his account at the CDM machine, saying: "I find the operations on the CDM machine simple, convenient, and fast. With a smart touch screen, automatically classifying denominations, the CDM machine helps customers deposit money simply, safely, and conveniently."

By the end of April 2025, Agribank Thanh Hoa had installed 38 ATMs, spread throughout the province, including 12 CDM (Autobank - automatic banking) machines. Along with that, the unit has developed thousands of QR-Code and POS points, most of which are business households with Agribank accounts equipped with free VietQR codes. Through payment acceptance points, QR codes, customers use accounts and ATM cards, use Agribank E-Mobile Banking, eBanking services to make payments, quickly and conveniently. Along with that, Agribank Thanh Hoa has issued hundreds of thousands of ATM cards; nearly 400,000 customers use E-Banking services (notification of changes in payment account balance - SMS; SMS notification of changes in savings deposit balance; E-Mobile Banking, eBanking services, payment for goods and services via e-wallet...

The bank also effectively deployed the eKYC identification method using biometric technology (face, fingerprint) allowing customers to register customer information (CIF) online, register to open an account online, use Agribank E-Mobile Banking service instead of having to go to the counter... Thereby, contributing to reducing the transaction volume at the counter, improving the quality of customer service, and speeding up the implementation of the cashless payment project.

Deputy Director of Agribank Thanh Hoa Luu Van Hieu said: "With the goal of moving towards digital banking, meeting the requirements of modern banking management, Agribank Thanh Hoa has focused on developing and modernizing information technology infrastructure associated with human resource development. The bank has researched and developed digital banking products and services, ensuring safety, security, enhancing experience and increasing customer satisfaction, implementing well the content of card payment and electronic banking to users. At the same time, focusing on implementing many programs to support customers in opening accounts, opening payment cards and installing and using the Agribank Plus electronic banking application. Strengthening cooperation programs to provide services such as salary payment, payment of electricity, water, bills; collection, payment by electronic payment means of Agribank... Thereby, contributing to improving labor productivity, reducing operating costs and reducing administrative procedures for customers; for some transactions, customers do not need to go to the bank customers, who can use the service as at the counter, transacting regardless of day or night or holidays, providing an experience for customers".

Thanks to the application of technology and the promotion of digital transformation, Agribank Thanh Hoa's products and services increasingly meet customers' needs, improve operational efficiency and contribute to increasing the rate of non-cash payments. Thereby, accompanying the banking industry to effectively implement the Government 's national digital transformation program until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
