Speaking at the opening of the Festival, Mr. Phan Cong Hai - Deputy Director of Da Nang Museum said that over the past years, the work of building models, advanced examples, and mass organizations to protect security and order has been regularly carried out by the unit, bringing about certain results, promoting positive effects in maintaining security and order of the agency, both raising awareness, roles and responsibilities of managers at all levels, and being able to promptly rectify the discipline and working style of the security force at the Museum. In addition, the unit always closely coordinates with the Internal Political Security Department - Da Nang City Police and Thach Thang Ward Police in ensuring security and order at the unit.
In addition, through the movement "Building friendly schools for active students", Da Nang Museum has effectively organized many activities to educate historical - cultural traditions, ethics, and propagate the protection of sea and island sovereignty for all classes of people, especially students, university students, and youth union members. In 2023 alone, the unit organized 02 programs "I love history"; 41 extracurricular classes; "Upstream of memories" program, welcoming and serving nearly 40,000 students. In addition, the Museum also coordinated to organize many specialized political and ideological education activities at the Museum and the special national relic of Dien Hai Citadel for party members of branches and Party Committees under the Party Committee of the Da Nang City Agencies.
From 2022 to present, Da Nang Museum has been honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from Da Nang City Police in the movement of TDBVANTQ; In 2023, the City People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit in the movement of TDBVANTQ.
It is expected that by the end of 2024 and early 2025, Da Nang Museum will move to a new headquarters with 3 sides bordering Bach Dang, Quang Trung and Tran Phu streets. Therefore, Da Nang Museum hopes to continue to receive attention and support in security and order work from the City Police, Hai Chau District Police and Thach Thang Ward Police so that the work of ensuring security and order as well as the implementation of the TDBVANTQ Movement at Da Nang Museum can be effectively implemented in the coming time.
Speaking at the Festival, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tu - Deputy Chief of Staff, City Police acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by Da Nang Museum in the past time. The unit has organized many in-depth activities with traditional educational significance. Thereby, it has created a vibrant atmosphere, making the National Defense and Security Festival truly a common joy, a "connecting thread" of people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In the coming time, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tu suggested that Da Nang Museum continue to effectively implement the directives of all levels on the work of building the movement for national defense and security, in conjunction with the regular professional work of the Museum; pay attention to innovating the content, form, and propaganda measures, arousing patriotism, national pride, respect for the law, promoting vigilance, and resolutely fighting against all types of crime.
At the same time, direct and strengthen the security force at the Museum; promote effective and practical models; closely coordinate with the Internal Political Security Department, Hai Chau District Police in ensuring security and order, and protecting State secrets. Continue to care for building spiritual and material life; listen to opinions, promptly grasp and resolve the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants and workers; build an internal solidarity bloc strong enough to resist the distorted and destructive arguments of hostile forces.
The festival took place with the following activities: Offering incense to commemorate General Nguyen Tri Phuong and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the early days of the resistance war against the French-Spanish coalition (1858 - 1860); Rally to celebrate the National Day for National Security Protection in 2024; Talk on current events "Some issues on protecting national security in the current situation"; Visiting the special national relic of Dien Hai Citadel and the thematic exhibition "Dien Bien's Heroic Spirit - A Golden History".
With the response and participation of many cadres, party members, union members, association members and people of all walks of life, the Festival contributes to propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, raising the sense of responsibility in the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety. Creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, bringing the movement of the People Protecting National Security of the Da Nang Museum to develop deeply and firmly, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting security and order in the new situation; contributing to affirming the role of the Da Nang Museum in particular and the system of museums in general in the work of education, spreading the spirit of patriotism and love for the Vietnamese people.
On this occasion, the Party Cell, Unit Leaders, Trade Union, Youth Union and departments under the Museum signed a commitment to well implement the model of ensuring security and order at the unit.
