Building hundreds of new houses to help Lai Chau border people

Lai Chau Border Guard is striving to carry out the movement of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people in border areas. With a high sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers have contributed nearly 300 million VND and coordinated with benefactors to support nearly 3 billion VND; especially helping people with tens of thousands of working days, building 174 new houses.

Lieutenant Colonel Truong Minh Duc, Commander of Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard, laid the first bricks on the house foundation.

Border guards are the main force helping people build houses.

Soldiers and civilians mixed concrete together.

Most houses are on hills and mountains, so transporting building materials is quite difficult.
