Apart from Iraq and Vietnam sharing the top two positions in Group F as predicted, the remaining rankings in Group F are quite surprising. Especially when Indonesia is at the bottom of the table with only 1 point.

The 18 winners of the second round will be divided into three groups, playing a round-robin (home and away) to calculate points. The top two teams of the three groups will qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals. The third and fourth-placed teams will compete in the fourth round, also known as the Asian play-off round.
