Mr. Bui Van Hai - the photographer who took the sensational photos, who has composed many times at the top of Ba Den Mountain ( Tay Ninh Province) - said: "In the middle of the space of floating white clouds, the statue of Buddha - the eternal symbol of wisdom, virtue and immense charity stands majestically, looking with compassionate eyes towards Dau Tieng Lake as a sacred sign for an entire land".
The Buddha statue radiates light at dawn.
According to photographers, although the mountain top is often covered in clouds, not everyone is lucky enough to capture the moment when the clouds flow like a stream. Notably, the duration of this scene is very short, so Bui Van Hai had to concentrate to capture the most beautiful images possible.
"Hunting" for the moment of clouds requires proficient working skills for photographers.
Ba Den Mountain is less than 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City. This place is known to tourists from the South as a spiritual tourist destination seeking peace, and at the same time can be a perfect place to cool off during the hot season because the temperature on the mountain top is always 8-10 degrees Celsius lower than the city. Early April is also the ideal time to admire the sea of clouds here.
"While the heat is covering all the southern provinces, the air here is still cool," said Mr. Bui Van Hai, adding that the sea of white clouds that has appeared frequently in recent days has attracted many tourists to Ba Den mountain.
Ba Den Mountain attracts tourists during festival seasons.
As one of the most notable items on the top of Ba Den Mountain, the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue was inspired by the image of one of more than 40 ancient Buddha statues in the Bo Da Son National Monument. This work has a total height of 72 m, made by artisans from more than 170 tons of red copper. Notably, the Buddha statue was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the tallest bronze Buddha statue in Asia located on the top of the mountain.
