With a scale of 13,500 m² and gathering more than 320 enterprises from 28 countries, VietnamWood has affirmed its position as one of the leading events in the wood processing sector in Vietnam, specializing in machinery, technology, sawn timber and consumables for wood factories. The exhibition attracts a large number of domestic and foreign manufacturers, construction - interior design companies, wood distributors and material suppliers.

At VietnamWood 2025, Canadian Wood Vietnam brings an impressive display space with a variety of interior applications from Canadian wood, thereby clearly reflecting the quality and flexibility of wood in many different production purposes. The special highlight of the booth is the wood color palette with shades from light to dark, helping visitors easily visualize the practical application of Canadian wood through many design styles, in line with market trends.
In line with the exhibition’s woodworking industry theme, Canadian Wood Vietnam presented visitors with unpainted palettes so they could experience the various finishes themselves. In addition, the company’s technical experts were present at the booth to provide direct consultation and introduce the Canadian Wood Experience Program – an initiative that provides free wood samples, as well as in-depth technical support to help factories in Vietnam verify quality, optimize production and expand supply sources.
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the Vietnam Wood and Furniture Export Report 2024 – 2025, Vietnam’s wood and wood products export turnover reached 16.25 billion USD in 2024, up 20% over the previous year. In 2025, the industry aims to increase this figure to 18 billion USD, shifting its focus towards sustainability, legal origin and transparency of wood products.

Using certified wood from sustainably managed forests not only meets legal requirements in Vietnam, but is also an important strategy to help businesses maintain a competitive advantage in the international market. Therefore, Canadian softwoods certified by prestigious international organizations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) are a reliable solution to help Vietnamese manufacturers improve product quality while meeting the growing consumer trend of preferring furniture products with transparent origins and made from sustainable materials. In addition to supporting businesses in accessing certified wood sources, Canadian Wood Vietnam also provides technical assistance programs, specialized training, and market development consulting.
Based on these criteria, five Canadian softwoods are often chosen by manufacturers in Vietnam for their outstanding properties, closely meeting the performance requirements of manufacturers. These wood species are highly appreciated for their diverse applications, from furniture, doors, windows, to outdoor products. The five main wood species include Western Hemlock, Douglas-Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar and the Spruce-Fir-Fir group (SPF), each offering its own outstanding advantages. Western Hemlock is versatile in application, Douglas-Fir stands out for its strength, Yellow Cedar is appreciated for its natural durability, Red Cedar possesses superior rot and insect resistance, and SPF is dimensional stable. All together, they provide Vietnamese manufacturers with sustainable material options that are suitable for specific production needs.
Mr. Tran Thanh Ven, Country Director of Canadian Wood Vietnam shared, VietnamWood is a valuable opportunity for Canadian Wood Vietnam to connect and exchange directly with partners and manufacturers in the wood processing industry, helping us better understand the needs and development trends of the Vietnamese market.
“We are delighted to see Canadian wood increasingly accepted, not only for its sustainability but also for its superior technical properties. Canadian Wood’s mission is to support factories in Vietnam in applying Canadian wood in production, helping to improve efficiency and product quality, thereby further strengthening our role in the sustainable development of the wood industry,” said Mr. Tran Thanh Ven.
