Exports of phones and components increased sharply

According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover of all kinds of phones and components in January 2024 reached more than 5.5 billion USD, an increase of 50.4% over the previous month.

Compared to the same period in 2023, the export value of these items increased by 11.4%. The largest export market for Vietnam's phones and components in January 2024 was the US with a value of more than 1.39 billion USD, accounting for 25% of the export markets.

Previously, in 2010, Vietnam's export turnover of phones and components reached 2.3 billion USD, accounting for 3.2% of total export turnover; in the period 2011-2021, it increased by 34%. In 2023, phones of all kinds and components earned more than 52.3 billion USD, the second highest export value among Vietnam's export items.
