The political art program "North-South Promise" is chaired by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and Hanoi City, directing the Army Radio and Television Center to implement. With the theme “North-South Promise”, the program recreates the promises in political and artistic language, combining historical documents, thematic reports, animation, music and modern performance technology. The program opens up a space of unforgettable memories - where promises echo forever. That is the promise of the day of national reunification, the promise of the frontline with the rear, of the rear with the frontline... The seamless connection of the performances makes the program like a journey back to history, back to the promises written with the blood, youth, tears and loyalty of millions of Vietnamese people. Mass performance by soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army. Historical battles, troops marching across rivers, the legendary Truong Son road, tanks speeding into the Independence Palace, boats cutting through the waves on the historic Ben Hai River, the joyful scene of the day of national reunification... have been recreated realistically and emotionally, bringing an overwhelming feeling to the viewers. In particular, when witnessing the images of tanks, rowboats, military vehicles, and the image of the gate of peace opening to the future, creating a vivid picture of the nation's 50-year journey, many viewers could not hold back their emotions. The performances are elaborately staged. The image is touching to the viewer. The program also set a record when it gathered many generations of artists and singers to perform such as: People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Tu Long, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Do To Hoa, Quoc Thien... In particular, at the end of the program, the audience enjoyed a 15-minute fireworks display. The fireworks display was like a greeting from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. People are moved and proud of the "North-South Covenant".
