The Department of Industry and Trade said that recently, the city has implemented a series of activities to support businesses in promoting products and seeking new market opportunities.
Most notably, large-scale fairs and exhibitions are organized such as the Da Nang Spring Fair 2025, the Vietnamese Goods Fair - Honoring Da Nang OCOP products 2025, the East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair 2025. These events attract hundreds of booths, introducing a variety of consumer products, OCOP products and local specialties, contributing to stimulating consumption and creating a practical trading connection playground for businesses.
In addition, the Summer Promotion Season program, Mega Sale Summer Da Nang 2025 has created a vibrant shopping atmosphere, increased interaction between businesses and consumers, and strongly promoted genuine products to tourists.
Along with major fairs, the Department of Industry and Trade also coordinates to organize supply-demand connection conferences, trade programs with provinces and cities across the country, deploying the Da Nang Pavilion Cluster at the 2025 Autumn Fair, introducing typical products and OCOP. This activity not only enhances the local image but also helps businesses expand inter-regional cooperation.
In 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade organized 7 delegations with 54 businesses to participate in trade promotion activities abroad, opening up opportunities to promote Da Nang products to the international market.
The Department presided over the organization of the conference Connecting Trade and Promoting Export in Da Nang 2025; organized a business delegation to participate in the booth displaying mountainous products at the Red River Delta - Hai Phong Industry and Trade Fair 2025, along with many dialogue programs to remove difficulties for production, export and logistics enterprises.
Associated with digital transformation
If in the past, trade promotion activities mainly focused on direct fairs and exhibitions, now the Department of Industry and Trade has strongly shifted to a combination of direct and online methods, associated with e-commerce applications and digital transformation.
In 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade will organize the Digital Trade and Regional Connection Week in Da Nang, with the highlight being the Cashless Payment Fair with more than 80 OCOP booths and a space to experience digital technology, payment platforms, logistics, and e-commerce.
Along with that, livestream activities to promote OCOP products, conferences on e-commerce development linkages and training courses on digital transformation skills and livestream skills for businesses and small traders have become new points in promotion work.
The Department also launched two training courses on trade promotion skills for businesses and ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, helping to improve knowledge about e-commerce, supporting the placement of products on e-commerce platforms, thereby expanding the market and increasing competitiveness in the new business environment.
The Department of Industry and Trade is also building a TikTok channel and a video series to promote OCOP products, and publishing bilingual publications in Vietnamese and English to increase communication effectiveness and expand access to international markets.
These innovative solutions help Da Nang's trade promotion activities shift from traditional to modern, meeting business needs and creating a foundation for sustainable development in the context of deep integration.
Evaluating the implementation effectiveness, the Department of Industry and Trade stated that trade promotion activities in recent times have created a "boost" for businesses, helping to increase brand awareness, expand consumption channels and maintain stable demand in the context of market fluctuations.
Many businesses have taken advantage of opportunities from trade promotion programs, such as My Phuong Food Company Limited signing contracts with partners from Taiwan, the US, and China at the FOODEX 2025 Fair, and are currently negotiating with partners from Canada, France, and Poland.
STCO Company approached more than 150 potential customers, of which about 15% are negotiating cooperation. These results clearly show the practical effectiveness of promotional programs.
