Meaning of the program Accompanying women in the border areas

The delegation gave gifts to disadvantaged women in the border area.

According to Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Phuong, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, the program "Accompanying Women in Border Areas 2025" has just been implemented in Thong Binh commune, Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province, with funding contributed by officials and members, and support from the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and Mr. Do Anh Long, Director of Anh Long Private Enterprise.

At this program, the delegation presented 50 gifts, including necessities and cash worth 50 million VND to 30 women and 20 children in difficult circumstances in the localities visited by the delegation; handed over a solidarity house of 54 square meters, worth 60 million VND, to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Ca Vang hamlet, Thong Binh commune, a near-poor household.

The donation of solidarity houses is also in response to the program "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". In recent times, not only supporting women in the province to eliminate temporary houses, the Binh Duong Provincial Women's Union has also mobilized from various sources, encouraging affiliated units to carry out this humane program outside the province, especially in the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" of the union organizations.

According to Ms. Thuy Phuong, this is the third year that the Provincial Women's Union has coordinated to implement the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" in Dong Thap province. The activities have practical significance, taking care of people's lives, helping the poor have houses, striving to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households. The program also motivates women in the border areas to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and actively participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the coming time.
