Compared to the previous generation, the Yamaha NVX 155 has been completely redesigned, with a more aggressive and modern style. The front of the vehicle impresses with an extended mask and sharp V-shaped LED headlights, integrated with positioning lights and turn signals. Notably, the turn signals are no longer positioned as low as before, creating a more harmonious and dynamic overall look. The body of the car is streamlined and minimal in details, creating a seamless and modern feel. The rear of the car is angular, with a shape simulating large-sized sports motorcycles, targeting young customers who are passionate about speed and personality.
One of the highlights of the Yamaha NVX 155 2025 is the digital dashboard that displays color with 3 different modes, helping users easily observe information in all lighting conditions. The vehicle is also equipped with a smart key and front wheel ABS braking system, which is a feature that is highly appreciated for its safety in the segment. The Yamaha NVX 155 2025 is still equipped with a 155cc Blue Core gasoline engine, single cylinder, liquid-cooled, integrated with VVA variable valve technology. This engine produces 15.4 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. The most important upgrade lies in the electronically controlled continuously variable transmission YECVT, instead of relying solely on centrifugal force like the traditional CVT, the new system adds a small electric motor to control the front pot.
This provides better response, creating a distinct “turbo” feeling when turning the throttle, while helping the driver feel the flexibility of a manual transmission. To optimize performance in each condition of use, Yamaha equips two driving modes including T-Mode (Town Mode) for the street and S-Mode (Sport Mode) when needing to accelerate or travel long distances. In addition, Y-Shift technology with three levels of feedback adjustment including low, medium, high allows the driver to actively choose the appropriate transmission type. For example, when going downhill, the user can choose a higher transmission level to take advantage of the engine's braking force, reduce dependence on the brakes and limit the risk of brake lock. According to data from the Vietnam Register, the 2025 Yamaha NVX 155 has a fuel consumption of 2.21 liters/100 km, which is relatively economical in the segment. With a series of significant upgrades in both technology and design, Yamaha hopes that this upgrade will help the NVX regain market share from its main competitor, the Honda Air Blade 160, a model currently priced from 56.69 - 58.39 million VND.
Meanwhile, NVX V2 is still being distributed with prices starting from 55.3 million VND. Currently, Yamaha has not announced the official selling price for NVX 155 2025 in the Vietnamese market, but according to many sources, the price will not be significantly different from the current version, in order to maintain a competitive advantage.
