Yen Bai: Industrial production index in March 2025 is estimated to increase by over 20%

CTTĐT - According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production and trade activities in the province in March 2025 continued to maintain a good growth rate. Industrial production remained stable; trade activities were bustling due to many consumer stimulus programs.

The Industry and Trade Department of Yen Bai province continues to promote trade promotion activities, e-commerce, support businesses with domestic and export market information, and take advantage of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to find new markets.

Specifically, the industrial production value (at 2010 comparative prices) in March is estimated at 1,680 billion VND, the accumulated value for 3 months is estimated at 4,540 billion VND, an increase of 13% over the same period.

The industrial production index for the whole industry in March 2025 is estimated to increase by 20.83% compared to the previous month, up 17.84% over the same period. The estimated industrial production index for the first 3 months of 2025 is expected to increase by 11.89% over the same period. Some key products have achieved and exceeded the growth scenario target for the first quarter of 2025, specifically: Construction stone mining, cement, plywood, electricity production.

Total retail sales of consumer goods and services in March 2025 are estimated at VND 2,807.8 billion, up 0.67% over the previous month. Total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the first 3 months are estimated at VND 8,447.4 billion. Export turnover in March is estimated at USD 47.55 million, up 25.1% over the previous month; Total in the first 3 months is estimated at USD 120.05 million; Import value in March is estimated at USD 16.5 million.

In the coming months, the Industry and Trade Department of Yen Bai province will focus on supporting investors to accelerate the implementation of industrial projects such as hydropower, wood processing, infrastructure investment projects in industrial parks and clusters; Promote trade promotion activities, e-commerce, support businesses with domestic and export market information, take advantage of free trade agreements to find new markets; support businesses and cooperatives in the province to carry out digital transformation, apply e-commerce to distribute and consume products and goods.

Coordinate with relevant agencies to effectively implement the work of ensuring the balance of supply and demand of goods, stabilizing the market. Strengthen the direction and inspection of the management of conditional business items, especially the trading of petroleum and liquefied petroleum gas to ensure the supply and maintenance of petroleum and liquefied petroleum gas activities in the province, along with continuing to promote administrative reform, reviewing procedures and licensing processes to ensure simplicity, publicity, transparency, and shortening the time to handle administrative procedures.
