Yen Bai: Nearly 16,000 customers receive loans under Decree No. 55 of the Government

After 8 years of implementing Decree No. 55/2015/ND-CP of the Government on credit policy for agricultural and rural development, up to now, Agribank Yen Bai Branch has created conditions for nearly 16,000 customers to borrow capital with a total outstanding loan balance of over 4,500 billion VND, accounting for nearly 55% of the total outstanding loan balance of the Branch, an increase of nearly 1,700 billion VND compared to July 2015.

Many farming households are able to borrow capital under Decree No. 55 of the Government to develop production.

The implementation of lending under Decree 55 of the Government has created conditions for customers to effectively exploit the potential and strengths of the locality, contributing practically to the socio-economic development of Yen Bai province.

The economic structure has shifted positively towards industrialization and modernization. The agricultural, rural and farmer sectors have received proper investment, increasing product value, creating more products for society, contributing to creating more jobs, improving and raising the living standards of hundreds of thousands of households.

Up to now, Agribank Yen Bai Branch has provided loans to 100% of communes managed by the Branch, contributing to the overall success of the new rural construction movement in Yen Bai province.

In the coming time, Agribank Yen Bai Branch will continue to promote its leading role in lending and socio-economic development in the locality with the focus on "agriculture, rural areas". By 2025, the proportion of loans for agriculture and rural areas will reach at least 60% of the total outstanding loans for the economy; ensuring timely response to all legitimate loan needs of people and businesses.
