YouTube service is temporarily interrupted in many places around the world

YouTube experienced a global outage on October 16, disrupting service in South Korea, Japan, Australia, the UK, Canada and the US, and has now been resolved.

On the morning of October 16, YouTube users in many places around the world were unable to use the streaming service on this video sharing platform.

The problem occurred in many countries, including South Korea, Japan, Australia, UK, Canada and the US and was resolved after more than 1 hour.

On social network X, YouTube announced that it had fixed the problem on all of the platform's services but did not say what caused the problem that prevented users from playing videos on smartphones and other devices.

In South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency, the service disruption was estimated to last more than 1 hour from 8:17 to 9:19 (local time, or 6:17 to 7:19 Vietnam time) and was largely resolved at around 9:30.

The cause is believed to be an error in the anti-spam system update process.

Google Korea notified the country's Ministry of Science , ICT and Technology of the incident in the morning in line with current regulations requiring broadcast and telecommunications operators to report service disruptions within 10 minutes of their occurrence./.
