17 deaths and death prognosis related to COVID-19

On the afternoon of May 3, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ) compiled the situation of medical examination and treatment and emergency care from medical examination and treatment facilities under the Ministry of Health, 63 Departments of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities and health sectors.

Accordingly, after 4 days of holiday (from 7:00 a.m. on April 29 to 7:00 a.m. on May 3), the total number of patients examined and treated in emergency was 270,031. Of which, the number of patients admitted for inpatient treatment was 99,747. The number of patients discharged from hospital was 72,977. The number of patients transferred to other hospitals was 8,247.

Treatment of COVID-19 patients at medical facilities

The number of deaths, including deaths at medical facilities, on the way to medical facilities and deaths after being discharged, is 1,241 cases.

During the 4-day holiday, the number of traffic accident cases requiring hospitalization and monitoring was 5,725 patients. The number of patients who died from traffic accidents, including deaths at medical facilities, on the way to medical facilities and those with a death prognosis, was 82 patients.

Regarding the reception and treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management said that after 4 days of holidays, the total number of COVID-19 patients was 4,618 cases.

The number of COVID-19 patients hospitalized for inpatient treatment is 2,477 patients. The number of COVID-19 patients transferred to other hospitals is 176 patients and the number of patients discharged from hospitals is 1,684 patients.

According to this report, the number of COVID-19 patients who died, including those with a fatal prognosis who asked to go home, was 17. Of these, 7 COVID-19 patients died at medical facilities and 10 severe COVID-19 patients with a fatal prognosis who asked to go home.
