175 War Veterans Association officials participate in training on poverty reduction work in 2025

Attending the conference were comrades: Do Nhu Tuan - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Movement Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Mua A Tra - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association; leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, experts of the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations of the province; 175 officials of the Veterans Association at district and commune levels, branch heads, and outstanding members of the Economic Mutual Assistance Club.

Speaking at the opening of the training conference, comrade Do Nhu Tuan - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Movement Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association requested that the comrades attending the training conference enhance their sense of responsibility, focus their thoughts, follow and grasp the content conveyed by the lecturers, and strictly follow the training class regulations. During the training, the focus will be on discussing and clarifying the difficulties and problems at the grassroots level.

Comrade Do Nhu Tuan - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Movement Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association delivered the opening speech at the training conference.

At the Conference, delegates were presented with a number of contents: Current status of implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Lai Chau province; orientations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of poverty reduction in the period 2021-2025 and until 2030; Introducing the process and method of reviewing poor households, near-poor households and households with average living standards for the period 2022-2025 (According to Decree No. 07-2021/ND-CP dated January 27, 2021 of the Government; Decision No. 24/2021/QD-TTg dated July 16, 2021 and Circular No. 07/2021/TT-BLDTBXH dated July 18, 2021 of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs guiding the method of reviewing and classifying poor households, near-poor households, determining the income of households working in agriculture, forestry, fishery, salt production with average living standards (period 2022-2025); Introducing Decree No. 27/2022/ND-CP dated April 19, 2022 of the Government stipulating the management mechanism, organization of implementation of National Target Programs, Decree No. 38/2023/ND-CP dated June 24, 2023 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 27/2022/ND-CP dated April 19, 2022 of the Government; Introducing Directive No. 39/CT-TW dated October 30, 2024 of the Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period, contents, measures to inspect and supervise the implementation of the entrustment of the Bank for Social Policies.

The training conference aims to effectively carry out the task of propagating and mobilizing the Party and State's policies and guidelines and participating in the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction effectively and widely. At the same time, it is an opportunity for delegates to discuss, disseminate experiences, and learn from typical production and business models.
