Disbursement of 500 million VND for dragon fruit care project

On May 29, the Provincial Farmers Support Fund Executive Board coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Xuyen Moc district and Hoa Hung commune to disburse 500 million VND to 10 farming households in the area to implement a dragon fruit tree care project.

Xuyen Moc has over 300 hectares of dragon fruit growing area, mainly red-fleshed dragon fruit for export.

Each household is given a loan of 50 million VND to invest in an irrigation system and buy fertilizer to care for the dragon fruit garden during the rainy season. The project duration is 30 months, with an interest rate of 0.7%/month.
