Reopen 2 majors

According to information from the Ministry of National Defense , this year, 17 military academies will recruit students for military university training, and 1 college training school for Air Force Officers (Aviation Engineering). Of which, 4 academies will continue to recruit female candidates, including: Military Technical Academy, Military Medical Academy, Logistics Academy, Military Science Academy with appropriate quotas.

New, Pharmacy (Military Medical Academy) and Finance (Logistics Academy) will resume enrollment after a long period of suspension.

For military majors, when registering for admission, candidates must place their first choice (highest choice) in a military school right from the initial application. If the school has many training majors, candidates can only register for one major. For the remaining wishes, candidates register for schools outside the military, the registration is carried out according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Candidates who have submitted preliminary applications to a military school, if they wish, can still adjust their application to another military school in the same group of schools.

Group 1 includes the following academies: Logistics, Navy, Border Guard, Air Defense-Air Force (Command and Staff system); officer schools: Army 1, Army 2, Politics , Special Forces, Artillery, Armored, Chemical, Information, Engineering.

Group 2 includes the following academies: Military Engineering, Military Medicine, and Military Science.

Candidates who fail to pass their first choice to military academies and schools will be considered for admission to subsequent choices to non-military schools in order of priority of the candidates' registered choices according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In 2023, military schools will recruit a total of 4,315 students, a decrease of 507 compared to last year.

Remove 2 exam codes in separate exam

Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Training, said that in 2023, the Ministry of Public Security plans to remove the exam codes CA3 (multiple-choice test in the fields of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Chinese Language and Math essay) and CA4 (multiple-choice test in the fields of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Chinese Language and Literature essay) in the assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security.

Accordingly, the exam will have only two codes left: CA1 (multiple-choice test in the fields of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, English Language and Math essay) and CA2 (multiple-choice test in the fields of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, English Language and Literature essay).

The results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam account for 60% of the total admission score, the high school graduation exam score of the Ministry of Education and Training accounts for 40% of the total admission score. The high school graduation exam combination includes: A00, A01, B00, C00, C03, D01, D04. The assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security includes: CA1, CA2.

In which, the Security and Police majors recruit using the combination A00, A01, C03, D01 and the CA1, CA2 exams. The Information Security major (Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention) recruits using the combination A00, A01 and the CA1 exam.

The Party Building and State Administration industry considers the combination of A01, C00, C03, D01 and the CA1, CA2 exams. The Engineering - Logistics industry considers the combination of A00, A01 and the CA1 exam. The Fire Prevention and Rescue industry considers the combination of A00 and the CA1 exam.

English Language majors consider admission in combination A01, D01 and exams CA1, CA2. Chinese Language majors consider admission in combination D01, D04 and exams CA1, CA2. Medical majors sent to train at the Military Medical Academy consider admission in combination B00 and exam CA1.

In 2023, universities and academies in the public security sector plan to enroll 2,000 students (50 fewer than last year) and 1,200 students in the intermediate level.
