Continuing the program of giving "Tet gifts to the poor" on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty - 2025, this afternoon, January 10, in Cam Lo district, from the sponsorship of Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation, Quang Tri Newspaper organized the presentation of 297 Tet gifts to households with especially difficult circumstances and poor households in the district. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Nguyen Ty; Vice Chairman of Cam Lo District People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Bac attended.
At the program, Quang Tri Newspaper presented 297 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND. Of these, 275 gifts were given to poor households in the communes of Cam Nghia, Cam Chinh, Cam Thanh, Cam Tuyen, Cam Thuy, Thanh An and Cam Lo town, along with 22 gifts to disadvantaged people reported in the newspaper's "Addresses in need of help" column.
Excited to receive the gift from the benefactors, Ms. Phan Thi Que, in Ward 3, Cam Lo town, shared: “My family is a poor household. I am often sick, do not have a stable job, and currently have to take care of two disabled children, so life is very difficult. Today, I am very happy to receive the gift from the program because it will partly help my family have more expenses to cover living expenses, and prepare for Tet more fully.”
Vice Chairman of Cam Lo District People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Bac said that in recent years, the locality has always paid special attention to social security work, especially during the Tet holiday. However, due to limited resources, many families still face difficulties. Therefore, the gifts that Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup and Quang Tri Newspaper brought to the people today are very meaningful. This is a very practical encouragement and support, helping people to have a happier and warmer Lunar New Year.
Sharing about the program of giving "Tet gifts to the poor", Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Nguyen Ty informed that, in addition to doing well the professional work of a Party newspaper agency, for many years, Quang Tri Newspaper has regularly paid attention to and carried out social security activities in the whole province.
In particular, priority is given to organizing programs to help, support, and accompany poor families, families in especially difficult circumstances, and students who overcome difficulties to study well.
