Mitsubishi
In the 1930s, Japanese electronics manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric entered the elevator business and is now a leader in the industry. In 2016, its elevator in the Shanghai Tower set a world record for the fastest elevator in the world.

This brand also maintains its leading position in the elevator industry in many countries, including Vietnam, and is also one of the three popular elevator brands in this market.
However, in the fiscal year ending March 2022, Mitsubishi Electric's "power and energy systems" segment (including businesses selling generators, motors, elevators, escalators, building security systems, etc.) saw revenue decrease by 3% compared to 2021, to 9.4 billion USD.
Schindler
According to 2021 statistics, every day in the world, more than 1.5 billion people use Schindler elevator and escalator products.
Schindler was founded in 1874 by Robert Schindler and Eduard Villager in Lucerne, Switzerland. In 1996, the group officially entered the Vietnamese market and was one of the first 100% foreign-owned elevator manufacturers in Vietnam.
By 1998, Schindler had a factory in Vietnam. In 2019, the group built a new factory in Ho Chi Minh City. The main areas of operation include importing, installing and maintaining elevators and escalators.
Schindler currently uses two main types of motors: hydraulic motors and electric motors (Photo: Schindler).
The price of this brand of elevators is not low. The company is also aiming for sustainability through a complete transition to renewable electricity by 2025 and the goal of minimizing landfill waste at facilities worldwide.
A simple example is that the corporation has stopped printing installation manuals. Instead, all this information has been digitized. This saves more than 6,600 trees each year from being cut down to make printing paper.
Thyssenkrupp (now TK Elevator)
Thyssenkrupp Group was founded in 1999 in Essen (Germany). Like the two names above, this unit is also one of the world's leading names in the production of elevators and escalators. After more than 20 years of entering the Vietnamese market, this brand has become a prestigious choice for many customers such as hotels, apartments, private homes, companies and other projects.
Some of the advantages of Thyssenkrupp elevators include safety, energy efficiency, smooth operation, high durability and modern design. However, quality comes with a relatively high price.
In fiscal 2022, the group generated $9.2 billion in revenue globally, one-third of which came from the North American market.
