From the first TV factory in 1995, Samsung has spent 3 decades of association and development in Vietnam, becoming the largest FDI investor with a total capital of more than 23.2 billion USD by the end of 2024.
This is not only a production story, but also a testament to the long-term strategy of the world's leading technology group in accompanying Vietnam in creating a digital future and sustainable development.

From manufacturing to technology creation
Samsung currently operates six state-of-the-art manufacturing plants and a network of sales and marketing offices across Vietnam. These plants play a key role in the global supply chain, particularly in the production of Galaxy mobile devices – with more than 2.35 billion products shipped from Vietnam.
In the export sector alone, Samsung contributes a large proportion to the national turnover, becoming one of the leading export enterprises in Vietnam. In 2024, 6 Samsung factories in Vietnam recorded revenue of 62.5 billion USD and export turnover reached 54.4 billion USD.
These impressive figures not only affirm the position of the largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam, but also show its far-reaching influence when contributing about 13.12% of GDP, accounting for 13.4% of the country's total export turnover in the year.
In 2022, Samsung inaugurated the largest R&D Center in Southeast Asia in Hanoi, marking its transformation from a manufacturer to a center of technological innovation. Here, thousands of Vietnamese engineers are directly participating in software development projects, AI and integrated solutions for the Galaxy ecosystem.
Samsung also implements training programs such as Solve for Tomorrow and Innovation Campus, contributing to building high-tech human resources for Vietnam.

Together for a sustainable future
Not only focusing on business, Samsung is also a pioneer in community and environmental activities. The Group is committed to carbon neutrality, expanding the use of renewable energy, reducing emissions throughout the production chain and cooperating with the Government to promote digital transformation.
STEM education programs, supporting local businesses and developing talent are testaments to Samsung's sustainable development strategy in Vietnam.
From a strategic investment decision three decades ago, Samsung has become an indispensable part of Vietnam's technology development journey, making this enterprise not only a manufacturer, but also an innovation partner, co-creator and creator of the digital future.
