(LĐ online) - For 2 days (June 1-2), in Da Lat City, Vietnam Social Security organized a training conference on customer care for the Vietnam Social Security industry in 2023 with the participation of 300 delegates who are leaders and specialists of the Customer Care and Support Service Center and delegates from Social Security of 36 provinces and cities.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Tran Dinh Lieu - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security said: As an agency assisting the Government in implementing social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance policies, which are important pillars in the national social security system, over the years, Vietnam Social Security has always identified improving the quality of public services and meeting the increasing demands of participants as a core and continuous task.
In particular, with the goal of universal social insurance and health insurance, taking people and businesses as the center of service, all civil servants, public employees and employees of the Vietnam Social Insurance sector need to determine that they must strongly transform from an administrative mindset to a service mindset. First of all, it is necessary to start with the mindset of considering people and businesses as customers in the service activities of administrative agencies, improving service quality so that people can enjoy the humane social insurance and health insurance policies of the Party and State with modern, professional, dedicated and effective service quality.
Implementing the policy of social insurance and health insurance for all workers in the spirit of Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW, dated November 22, 2012 of the Politburo , the 11th Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership over social insurance and health insurance work in the period 2012-2020, Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated May 23, 2018 of the 12th Party Central Committee on reforming social insurance policies, the coverage of social insurance and health insurance is increasingly expanded, the number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance is increasing rapidly.

By the end of March 2023, more than 17.4 million people nationwide participated in social insurance, reaching 37.4% of the working-age workforce; about 14.2 million people participated in unemployment insurance; about 90.949 million people participated in health insurance, accounting for more than 92% of the population.
With a large number of participants, diverse in age and increasing over the years, the need for support, advice and policy answers of participants is also increasing, requiring the Vietnam Social Insurance Industry to constantly improve, perfect and enhance the quality of service for social insurance and health insurance participants, contributing to increasing the satisfaction of people and businesses.
After nearly 3 years of operation, customer care activities have been proactively, comprehensively and effectively implemented and have achieved many positive results. The basic customer care system has supported, consulted and answered questions for people and organizations in participating and enjoying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, saving time and costs, ensuring the rights of employees... contributing to helping the Vietnam Social Security sector promote the transformation of transaction forms of people and organizations with social insurance agencies, improving the efficiency of online public services of the sector. Organizing warm Tet programs, giving social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances with tens of thousands of gifts given. Customer care activities have been implemented systematically and synchronously nationwide.
Currently, customer care is the function and task of the Communications Department according to Decision No. 2356/QD-BHXH dated September 16, 2022 of the General Director of Vietnam Social Security on the regulations on functions, tasks, powers, responsibilities and management regime of professional departments under the Social Security of provinces and centrally run cities. Thus, Vietnam Social Security has a centralized customer care system, customer care activities will be increasingly in-depth, modern, professional and effective, meeting the satisfaction of participants in Social Insurance, Unemployment Insurance and Health Insurance.
