The support program was implemented for 17 households in Da Tong, Da Long and Da M'rong communes, with a total area of 10.5 hectares. Each household was supported with a scale of 0.2 - 1.0 hectares depending on actual conditions.
According to the support mechanism, the State will support 70% of the cost, and the people will contribute 30%, with a total implementation cost of over 200 million VND. Intercropping cocoa in cashew areas not only contributes to effective land use but also helps increase income, diversify crops, in line with the orientation of sustainable agricultural development, adapting to climate change of Dam Rong district.
The local government expects this model to bring practical economic efficiency, and then expand to other areas in the district in the coming time.
