35 areas warned of extremely dangerous forest fire risk

Warning information from the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection shows that currently, 35 areas nationwide are at level V forest fire risk warning and 97 areas are at level IV forest fire risk warning. Since the beginning of April, the number of warning areas has increased from 64 to 132. Many consecutive fires have occurred since the beginning of April and have burned down many forest areas.

Level V forest fire risk, as of noon on April 21, includes 35 areas in the provinces of Binh Phuoc , Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Soc Trang and Ca Mau.

The Department of Forestry and Forest Protection said that 132 forest areas warned of fire risk are all areas with many days without rain and prolonged dry weather.
