Officers and staff of Team 192 provide free medical examination and medicine to Lao ethnic people.

Major Bui Khac Truong, driver of Team 192, is one of the few officers who have spent 5 seasons searching for missing soldiers in Laos. During the 5 years of carrying out the mission, the marches of several dozen kilometers in rugged mountainous terrain have become familiar to him. Difficulties, hardships, and even dangers always lurk, but the steps of the officers and soldiers of Team 192 have never retreated. For them, searching for missing soldiers on the Lao battlefield is not only a sacred mission but also a noble responsibility.

Major Bui Khac Truong confided: The journey to find HCLS is an extremely difficult and arduous task, especially since the current information is located in remote, isolated locations deep in the forest; there are places where we have to march on foot for 3-4 days to get there. Despite the hardship, when we find HCLS, all our fatigue seems to disappear. For us, as long as we have a little information or a hope, no matter how difficult or arduous it is, we will try our best and be determined.

More than 800 villages in Salavan and Sekong provinces are the locations and places that officers and soldiers of Team 192 have searched for over the years. To effectively carry out the work, in addition to the support and assistance of Laos, Team 192 must constantly stay close to the people and villages. With the motto "4 stays, 3 together" ("Stay close to the people, stay close to the area, stay close to the government, stay close to policies and guidelines" and "eat, live, study and speak the language of the friends"), how to make friends understand, make friends believe, create good feelings right from the beginning. The unit always takes advantage of days off and breaks to help the people of the villages.

Team 192 has helped the people with many tasks such as providing free medical examinations and medicine, repairing houses, schools, bridges, and roads, helping people harvest rice, cassava, and coffee. At the same time, directly guiding the Military Command of the districts and the people on how to increase production, grow vegetables, fruit trees, etc., thereby not only creating trust but also strengthening the solidarity between the Vietnamese Army and the Lao People.

Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Tri Hung, Team Leader of Team 192, said: The journey to find the martyrs in Laos is becoming more and more difficult because information sources are increasingly scarce, and the locations provided by the information sources are all located in remote locations deep in the forest, with very few people passing by. Therefore, the Party Committee and the Command of Team 192 always determine that staying close to the people and villages to collect more information is a necessary and effective task. Therefore, the team's officers and staff have eaten, lived, worked, and spoken Lao together to create closeness; thereby propagating and mobilizing people to provide information about the martyrs...
