Use coffee to "cure" lack of sleep

Coffee can temporarily wake you up, but it can’t help with the fatigue caused by lack of sleep. Some people think that drinking a lot of coffee can make up for short or light sleep, but this is completely wrong.

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) says that lack of sleep impairs information processing, memory, and negatively affects mood. Caffeine only temporarily masks feelings of fatigue but does not restore the brain. Drink too much

Too much caffeine can cause anxiety, rapid heartbeat, insomnia, and nervous fatigue. Long-term caffeine abuse can even lead to caffeine resistance, meaning the body needs more caffeine to stay awake. This puts pressure on the heart and nervous system.

Add too much sugar, milk or cream

A cup of black coffee without sugar has very few calories. However, when you add syrup, condensed milk, fresh cream or refined sugar, the cup of coffee becomes a drink containing a lot of sugar and calories.

When you drink it, your blood sugar levels rise. But after just 1-2 hours, your blood sugar levels drop and you feel tired, have trouble concentrating, and even feel restless. It’s best to drink your coffee black or add just a small amount of milk if needed, according to Healthline.
